18SG, 18PX, 18PA and 18PL Are Bullshits!

I’m very pissed and I’ve been wanting to rant about this since I turned 18 and got the opportunity to watch movies labeled with 18SG, 18PX, 18PA and 18PL. Actually each carries different definition. Let me enlighten you a lil bit.
18SG - For 18+ with non-excessive violent/horrifying scenes
18SX - For 18+ with non-excessive sex scenes
18PA - For 18+ with political/religious/counter-culture elements
18PL - For 18+ with a combination of two or more elements
And what is the purpose of labeling the movies with these labels? So that you can make your own discretion as to whether you want to watch the show which may contain violent, sex, political or religious element. And most importantly you have to be 18 years old and above to make that discretion, otherwise those movies are not suitable for kids.
However, in my opinion, watching movies with 18SG, SX, PA and PL in Malaysia is equivalent to wasting your money, it’s like paying money to see a mute guy sings. You are basically paying money for a fucking movie with TOO MUCH censorship!
I seriously do not get it, what’s the point of you labeling it differently and banning the kids from watching the shows if you wanna destroy the movies by censoring those so called “indecent” parts? Since you wanna censor it too much then don’t label it, and if you wanna label it, don’t censor it.
If you think it’s too obscene, then ban the whole movie.
And I’m acting like a moron to pay for the movie tickets, otherwise if I support pirated DVDs, you guys claim that I’m breaching the law but seriously y’all…
You should just suck it up if people start buying or downloading movies from the internet to watch!
Because by censoring the so called “indecent” part, you could be removing the important plots of the show unintentionally. And it’s so happened that sometimes the censored part IS the interesting part throughout the show.
And then you just cut it off… Tell me, will you rather buy a pirated DVD with full scenes or you pay for the cinemas only to be disappointed?
It’s just like reading a novel with few pages missing. How pathetic!
I am very upset because I just watched “My Best Friend’s Girl” and you just cannot believe how many scenes they censored. I’m starting to think that the censorship board is run by the woman who criticized people who love to use the “F” word. Creepy!
Therefore I just wanna say this…
Fuck! You are wasting my money, by buying pirated DVDs, you can watch the show at home as many times as you want and if you are smart enough, you could get the films without censorship, I’m not suggesting that you should break the law, but looks like the Malaysian Censorship Board is a bit fucked up.
I guess I just spoke your mind, didn’t I?

The only movie can watch in the cinema will be either animations…. and…. family friendly action movie like spiderman etc..

same here.. it’s some times pathetic to watch those movie.. It’s like watching the bad VCD/DVD which jumped track..
It’s like.. you’ll see them saying , “Hey.. YOU.. SON..” wat the hell?! what are they talkin about..
I mean yeap.. I totally agreewith what you are saying.. I just think that they just censored too much.. Watching in singapore is much much more better than watching in malaysia..
LOLz.. We got no choice but to download whole movie from the internet to understand what the movie is trying to talk about..
They are even people complaining that downloading from the internet is much much better than watching in the cinema.. Those who watched in the internet would give grade “A” to the film.. but those who watch in the cinema would just say .. grade “C” since it’s piece junk movies which couldnt let us understand what it is about..
I’m just pissed that THE PRINCE OF EGYPT is BANNED IN MALAYSIA.
