How Do You Get Inspirations To Blog?

*This could be a useful post for beginner bloggers*
I don’t care if you’re going to tell me, “Hey who are you to give us guidelines to blog? Are you even qualified?“. But blogging is similar to writing essay, you need an idea to start off, unless you’re the type of blogger who really think that your blog is your diary, and you will blog about whatever you eat, you see, you smell, you hear.
Unfortunately, not all bloggers blog about things they see in their daily lives, sometimes bloggers face writer’s block. And sorry to say, most of us make the same mistake, whenever we feel that we are running out of ideas, that’s when we pray that inspirations will just appear in our head. Or worst, some will make a big entry in their blog stating, “I don’t know what to blog.”
You may ask me, how the hell can I find inspirations to blog? Trust me people, if you love to hide in your room, you probably do not realize that everything you see can be included in your blog entry. But readers are the main factors that will determine the fate of your blog, thus, if you spot on an empty tissue paper box, you can’t be telling people… “I see an empty box.”, if you wanna make sure people come back, you gotta be a little bit creative. Hence I always support the usage of the phrase:
THINK OUT OF THE BOX
Let me show you an example of what I see in my room:
When I look at the mirror, I see a new pimple on my face, immediately I look at my bed, I realize that it’s time for me to change the bed sheet already. Oh! There’s a tissue paper with blood stains on my bed, I remembered that I had nose bleed yesterday night. Why am I sick? Blame the weather? Blame the haze? Or blame myself for not drinking enough water?
I looked at my table, there is an almost empty water bottle, that means I drank enough water. I guess I’m sick because I do not have enough workouts these days…
To gain inspirations, try not to limit yourself in just a single space, surf the net! Surf blogs, and you can use people’s content to start a new entry, when I say use, I do not mean copy, how the hell can you copy people’s content to your blog?! If you browse PerezHilton.com and you read about this particular post about… let’s say Christina Aguilera is pregnant, use that post, and add your opinions in it, you can claim that the source might be incorrect, you can probably write about your hope to see her singing a song dedicating to her baby, remember Britney Spears?
When you surf the internet, you are opening the floodgate for inspirations to flow into you. Sometimes you can blog about the new gadgets you see, the new items you’ve been drooling over, the pictures that amaze you, the celebrities you’ve been wanting to sleep with! But how do you start surfing the net, I would suggest StumbleUpon, it is a very useful site because you can stumble upon interesting sites! Some people make good use of internet as their blog entry, hey, a conversation through Windows Live Messenger can become a blog entry! Example my friend La’enCier, he recently blogged about a nasty “comic” his friend drew to him in the chatroom.
Apart from surfing the net and hiding in your room. If you get your ass out of your room and explore the outside world, like hanging out with friends, watch some movies, hit some bookstores, write down your experience while suffering in traffic congestion… Hey! Those are your inspirations you know? Even when you sleep, you can use your dream to work out an entry.
But the thing is, how are you going to write about it? I believe bloggers should wear readers’ shoes before blogging, you have to think, “If I blog about this, will people like to read?”. If you’re confident that your writing skill is always the bomb and you have the power to attract readers, shut up and click “POST” or “PUBLISH” and let the world see your post! Learn the way other probloggers blog, how come they can get an average of 1000 unique visitors per day and yours is miserable? You know they have the “tricks” so go learn from them!
If you don’t and you have hard times writing a new entry, please do not have this concept that you are owing your readers. The more you feel that you MUST blog about something, chances are your entries will start to bore many readers, this is YOUR blog and why is it that you can’t be patient a little bit and try to blog about something impressive? Even if you are not the type who is born to be humorous, if you pour in your effort to blog rather than posting things like, “I am bored.”, people will still appreciate it!
Hey bloggers if you stumble upon this post, and coincidentally you are running out of inspirations, why don’t you start an entry criticizing my post? Who knows you are thinking that I am actually bullshitting? Good luck to all bloggers, if you have your ideas to share don’t mind leaving comments and we’ll discuss it!
