So You Think Nobody Would Buy A Domain To Bash His Ex-Girlfriend?

Couple of days ago I was browsing PerezHilton.com, my favorite celebrity gossip blogs and I saw this advertisement banner which is really intriguing as the words spelled:

“YOU DO LOOK FAT IN THOSE JEANS SARAH MARSHALL”

You do look fat in those jeans Sarah Marshall

See the banner?

So naturally I was really curious to find out what sort of advertisement is this and it actually linked me to this site: http://www.ihatesarahmarshall.com/

Ihatesarahmarshall.com

It is a blog bashing a girl named Sarah Marshall, and the author “Peter Bretter” exposed Sarah Marshall’s dirty secrets by blogging about her dirty deeds and how she actually became a star on a hit TV by sleeping with casting director. Besides, the title of that blog is eye catching enough - “I’m so over you Sarah Marshall”

And of course, my first thought was that this girl must have hurt this guy so much that he would even bought a domain to write shits about her and even advertises on major sites. But then I found out the video section and it says “Click here to see why Sarah Marshall really sucks but only if you’re over 18!

Now tell me ladies and gentlemen, who wouldn’t think the video is gonna be a sex video of her being caught while doing it with some other guys? So I clicked on it and it brought me to http://www.forgettingsarahmarshall.com/restricted/

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

And motherfucking site needs me to fill up my details, but because I’m not a US citizen, I didn’t manage to SEE how sucky Sarah Marshall is but I’ve already got an idea that this entire thing is a FAKE! Like duh! It’s A TRAILER, CAN’T YOU SEE?!

But it’s ok though, I looked up for the details in Wikipedia and this is what I found out,

Wikipedia

Now do you see how clever people are these days? They are making good use of the internet to spread the word about the films. But seriously if you didn’t bother to find out the truth behind the blog you would have blindly believed the guy because all he did was to write shit about her and prove to the whole world that she is a slut. But I’ve exposed it eventually. :P

It turns out to be that the show is “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and the “Sarah Marshall” chick is played by the gorgeous Kirsten Bell, catch her in HEROES. She’s in there!

It is very crucial for all of you to find out the truth of some websites, as some can be fake. But of course, not all fake sites are bad enough, it’s just some assholes would take this opportunity to con stupid people. They could just set up a site praising this particular product/service and you then decided to hop onto the trap. Or to summarize what I just said: Stop fucking believe in everything you’ve read! Especially when the cyber world is not a safe place, there are many pests who are trying hard to ruin people’s reputations. I know Terminix controls REAL pests, but I certainly hope they can deal with human pests too. :P

    Good bit of sleuthing there!
There have been other examples of this too - for Heroes, if you searched for Primatech Paper Company, that was a front for the ‘organisation’ Noah Bennet was working for, there was an actual website. Check it out, but it doesn’t have as much content as before.
