Stop Using These Tricks On April Fool

I know some pranksters would probably hide in the caves to plot some tricks to fool people on April Fool but since you are “plotting”, be sure nobody will tell you “Try harder, I know it’s just an April Fool’s joke“. There are tricks which are outdated, so you better come up with something new:
- Bloggers telling people that they are shutting their blogs: Come on, if the pioneers (eg: 3POINT8 and CurryEgg) have done it, you really should back off already. Even if they didn’t blog about wanting to delete their blogs, how would anyone believe that you wanna delete your blog out of the blues? It’s boring~
- “Why are you talking bad about me?”: Unless your friends love gossiping, otherwise those quiet nerdy people are totally immune to this kind of question, they will look at you as if you’re some crazy ass and worse! They hit you back with, “I did, so what?”.
- “The discipline teacher wanna see you.”: This is generally applicable to high school students because many students are afraid of discipline teachers, however, smart asses won’t believe you at all if you try this trick on them and watch out! High school kids are way better in pranking, so you watch out.
- “I’m pregnant”: Unless it’s 2nd of April, otherwise this won’t work at all! If you’re still young and you are REALLY pregnant, I don’t think you have the guts to even announce it. Try harder! :P This also includes the joke about yourself having disease too.

And of course, it doesn’t mean you can’t recycle these tricks. You can make your joke sounds real if you plan it carefully. Pranking people usually work if you work around it with a bunch of friends or do the unthinkable! How come nobody:
- Calls someone up pretending to be crying and screaming and telling that person he/she met with an accident?!
- Goes online in live messengers, pretending to be moody and someone talks to you and you say “I’m sorry I am not in the right mood to talk now.” And it the person asks why, you say, “MY (person you love) HAS PASSED AWAY! I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!!!”
- Walks straight to the victim and starts yelling at her fiercely claiming that she has been doing this shitty stuff to you and when he/she tells you, “I know it’s April Fool.”, you cut it and kept going until you’re tired then only you say, “Yeah it’s April Fool.”. By then that person is already in shock.
- Gets his father to call up a friend pretending to be a cop and tells him that the police have found the trace that he has been illegally downloading songs from the internet and he is about to get caught.
- Hides in the room whole day, refuses to eat and bathe, making the parents worried sick then tell the parents before 1st of April ends, “April Fool, daddy mommy.”
- Calls a neighbor pretending to be one of the operators from TruGreen saying that he will get free lawn services so that he will never have to live in a jungle anymore. And when the neighbor gets interested, you go on with the super services which TruGreen really offers for example: tree and shrub care, total landscape design. And when he finally books a time with you, you cut if off by saying “April Fool”
See if you want your jokes to work, you gotta know how to act! My advise to you is that if you wanna trick somebody, don’t do it ONLINE, people know it’s fake and some would pretend to fall into your trap. It’s best to do it face to face and see the person’s reaction! It’s FUN!
If you don’t have the skill, don’t even try it. You don’t wanna get backfired.

April fool’s day. A prank only works if its credible.
I think this one is a good one. A huge media company calls to announce a winner of a contest in which they joined.
(assuming you joined a contest a few weeks ago)
On the 1st of april
FLY FM guy: “Hey Cedric! You won $100 for playing ‘Guess who is the Good boy”
Since 1st of april is a working day, and you know that its a call from FLY FM, it just makes you wonder if its a joke…
Great post!
I work for the oldest comedy community on the web. We live for April 1st and have a dedicated prank section on the site http://www.zug.com and new press release. http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/03/prweb807604.htm. There’s also a really great feature at http://potw.news.yahoo.com/ It would be great to get your feedback.

Fooling people on today is so lame.
JJ: You’re a zombie!!! You’re cold blooded!
Shelah: Oh my I had to keep trying to get access to zug.com! Well I’ve seen those articles about the site and I’m so impressed and it’s an eye opener for those pranksters wannabe! And those tricks on the site are pretty funny! My gosh… “Pimp My Card” is definitely incredible!

Tom: Oops I didn’t know he did it too. :P
3POINT8: And worse, you thought you’re the winner and you blogged about it. :P
Haha, actually suet lee (April’s featured blogger) is the real pioneer of the ‘closing-down blog’ thingamajig– she did it way before, last year’s April’s Fool in fact. So seeing the same ‘pranks’ being redone were frankly boring and slightly unnerving, haha.
I did not prank anyone and did not get pranked. Lol, no one bothers to prank me. But hor, I hope my boss is just pulling my legs cause I not yet get my last month salary. =P
Ping Ping: LOL Well people did try to prank me too but they didn’t succeed. :P Cuz I told myself whatever they wanna say it’s gonna be a JOKE. I don’t care it’s real or not. :P
Hui Wen: Oh is it? Hmm LOL i juz use “pioneers” based on this year’s tricks.
Yeah you’re right, some are just downright boring…
kenny sia also did that prank……
Plus one more prank: My wedding is on June08, can u join?
TMD, this year i had so many friends kahwin, so makes me believe his tricks!
(But i oso SMS to others as above msg :P)
