Take Out Your Car Key and Lock Your Car

Do I have to remind you that crime rate is rising each day? I don’t think I have to because if you flip the newspapers, read e-news, you know that people can do just ANYTHING for their own betterment, and because unemployment is also a major crisis in our country, when people see the opportunity for them to make fortune, be it in a legal or illegal way, people will attack it before anyone else does it.
What triggered me to write this post? There’s this incident that happened near my residential area and it’s a REAL incident okay! We all love to be convenient, we all love short cuts, and hence, when we stop our cars to buy something right in front of us, what do we usually do? We just get down from the car and walk to the shop nearby, nothing will happen to your baby car in just 7 steps you think?
You’re wrong! There’s this man who stopped his car, get down and walked to the shop to buy newspaper, it was merely a few steps and what can happen to his car? You wanna know what happened? Yeah, another man ran to his car and drove off. When I say drove off, it means he did it really fast and despite the owner kept shouting and yelling and crying and whining, the thieve just drove off like that.
If you think that you should just take it easy, call the cops and everything will be handled soon. But mind you, yes, call the cops is the first method, but what if your car is driven to the nearest workshop where they cut your car into pieces, take out your engines and begin selling them? You may trace the crook but how about your car? Isn’t it such a hassle? You need to do a lot of things when this happens to you.
But you can make a difference! It just takes extra 3 steps to prevent your car from stolen when you want to walk to the nearest shop to buy something, or to the counter to pay for the petrol fee. Ha! Now you may start to feel silly reading this but even though this is the easiest way to prevent car theft, not everyone loves to follow.
- Step number 1, turn off your engine. How? It’s your car! You know how to turn if off don’t you? If you ask me how? I will ask you to read the car manual, if you ask me WHERE exactly to put the car key in? Oh gosh, just… go to hell. LOL

- Step number 2, take out your car key! You know that if you leave your car key hanging there, what makes you think it will be so hard for the crook to open your door, lock the door, and turn on the engine and drive off?

- Step number 3, when you’ve taken out your car key, lock your car door. It’s that simple and you can shake your lil butt and walk to anywhere you want, to the public toilet to pee, to the nearest cyber cafe to check your emails, to your friend’s house to pass him the new
pornmovies.

See? 3 simple steps but people love to neglect it for the sake of convenience. If you’ve done the three steps before getting your ass out of the car and your car got stolen in 5 minutes’ time. TRACE the damn crook and ask him how the hell did he do that!!! He must have inherited The Flash’s genetic? Who knows? Or your car is not stolen by ONE person? If in that case, you are so damn unfortunate! Anyway, I hope it serves as an awareness to all of you!

LOL~
Fortunately, I’m used to turning off the engine whenever I get off my car. Not a problem to me.
But The Flash, err… lol~
Eh! What’s wrong with The Flash? LOL
Getting the car to be stolen …. = priceless (experience)….
hey cedric…was wondering, were u at gurney fish n co on thurs? i think i saw u there, sitting outside wif a fren. =) u dont know me so i didnt call out to u. but if that was u, hello. haha.
Monk, when you kena that time, you’ll cry out loud! Hahahahaha. Well I definitely hope that it won’t happen to me.
DolphyN, YES!!! I was at Fish and Co yesterday with my friend. Hahaha next time just say hello to me, I don’t mind makin new friend you see.
It really baffles me why anyone would leave their car unattended with keys in and engine running.
CC, like I said, sometimes people tend to prefer convenience. They thought that it’s just a few steps to the shop so why turn off the engines? And because of their negligence, their cars got stolen and who’s to blame? You know who. Haha
